Leagues and Camps

We aim for all participants to have an enjoyable basketball season, improve their personal confidence and self-esteem, enhance their basketball skills and fundamentals, and develop an understanding that a team is a united entity with common goals. Our season usually runs from September through till March.

Age 5-7 2:00-3:00pm for the U8 program at Waterford DHS on Sundays, starting September 21.
Age 8-9 3:00-4:00pm for the U10 program at Waterford DHS on Sundays, starting September 21.
Age 10-11 Boys 4:00-5:15pm for the U12 Boys program at Waterford DHS on Sundays, starting September 21.
Age 10-16 Girls 6:30-8:00pm for the U11-U16 Girls program at Simcoe CS on Wednesdays, starting October 1.
Age 12-13 Boys 6:30-8:00pm for the U14 Boys program at Simcoe CS on Mondays, starting September 29.
Age 14-16 Boys 6:30-8:00pm for the U17 Boys program at Simcoe CS on Mondays, starting September 29.

After the first Sunday, we run 2 Sundays where each player can bring a friend, to try NYBA out. They still need to register, for insurance and programming details, however, they would select to pay by cash or e-transfer which would not be due until after Thanksgiving, if they choose to continue. There will be paper registration forms onsite for those who do not register ahead of time.

From September to March our House League runs according to ages. Although we run on a schedule, we are sharing school facilities and from time to time, for weather or other school-related reasons, a session here, or a session there is cancelled. There is no minimum sessions to complete the season, or any refunds issued on a per session basis. As the last few years, with COVID-19, have shown us, things can get messy. We will always try to get the best and most court time for each age group.

Cancellations are handled on a case-by-case basis. We do hope that you will continue for the entire season with us and enjoy every session. It is important that the decision to cancel is made soon after the start of your sessions. The executive will determine what fee to charge for the cancellation, while considering there are some administrative and processing costs, and then there are the t-shirts and other stuff. Clearly, cancelling after Christmas is not going get a refund, especially if they started in September.

Having these programs available to as many youth as possible is very important us. To help on the financial demands on families, we do work with Jumpstart and Kidsport, if you would like to access either of those organizations then during the registration process you select the organization and cash as your payment route. We work with both you and the support organization to ensure the registration goes smoothly.

We also would like you to consider the Summer Program - run through the Norfolk County - the M&M Hoops Basketball Camp (found in the Summer program guide). Registration is done through the Norfolk County Recreation registration. Start by going to the program guide at

Basketball doesn't end at 16! NYBA has two programs for adults to keep active and enjoy basketball to the max!
